Acido Records - DJ Dynamo Dreesen [part I]

Part I - The Label

Last year I acquired an EP by Healing Force Project, featuring 2 tracks made of analog sounds, like the titles suggest ('Analogic Prospectus' and 'Moorg#1'), definitely not intended for Ibiza dancefloors and quickly entering the freaky beats section of my collection. I didn't really pay attention to the other releases of its label, Acido Records, until another reference came up on Hard Wax this year : 'Woodlandscene EP' by Dresvn. I fell in love straight away with this one and couldn't help sending a thanking message at the email address provided on the discogs page.

This EP consists of 6 tracks showing a broad and coherent palette of sound, clearly produced by analog gear lovers with an open-minded approach to composing electronic music. Humble, mysterious, raw, generous, vintage, organic, quirky... are some adjectives coming to mind to define this piece of work, rather than tagging it under specific musical genres...
To my surprise, I quickly got an enthusiastic reply from Andreas, aka Dynamo Dresen, half of Dresvn and founder of the label in 2004 who pointed me to other works issued by himself or his partner Svn, on Acido and other friend labels like Sued, Wania, Sex Tags Mania (recently Label of the Month on RA),  etc... revealing an intriguing underground network of devoted individuals, mainly based in Germany and Scandinavia.
As a matter of fact, Andreas is based in Northern Italy, but we'll read more about him in part II.
For now, I just wanted to introduce you to the sound of Acido Records, and short of words, I opted for a little audiotour, just covering their 3 last releases (006, 007 and 008).
So here is an Acido micromix (27 minutes), with no other ambitions than peeping into their very nice household.
